Payments & Refund Policy
This policy explains how payments, service fees, third-party charges, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Marida Business Services. It applies to all services requested through our website, WhatsApp, phone, email, social media, or any other official channel. By making a payment, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. What You Are Paying For
When you pay Marida Business Services, your fee covers our professional service charge for acting as your third-party registrar — preparing, submitting, following up on, and managing your registration or compliance filing on your behalf. Depending on the service, your fee may also include government filing fees, statutory charges, platform processing fees, and other direct costs incurred in completing your registration. Where these components are separate, they will be clearly communicated to you before payment.
2. Currency
All payments are made in Nigerian Naira (NGN). We do not accept foreign currency payments.
3. Accepted Payment Methods
Marida Business Services accepts payments via bank transfer. Paystack is our proposed online payment processor. Once Paystack is approved and activated on the website, clients will be able to make payments directly online using the available Paystack payment options — including debit cards, credit cards, bank transfers, and USSD. A payment is treated as confirmed only after Marida Business Services receives successful payment confirmation from Paystack or the relevant payment channel. We reserve the right to add or remove payment methods at any time.
4. Quotes and Pricing
Fees are quoted per service based on your specific registration needs. A quote issued via phone, WhatsApp, or email reflects the cost at the time of issue. Where government filing fees, statutory charges, or third-party costs increase after your quote has been issued but before your filing is completed, you will be notified of the additional amount. Work will not continue until the outstanding balance is settled.
5. Payment Before Work Begins
Full or partial payment — as agreed — is required before Marida Business Services commences any registration, filing, document preparation, name search, or compliance work on your behalf. No submission will be made to any government agency or registry on your behalf until payment has been received and confirmed. Payment confirmation will be communicated to you via WhatsApp, phone, or email.
6. Failed or Incomplete Payments
If a payment fails or is not completed, no service will be initiated or continued. You should retry the transaction or contact us directly to resolve it. Marida Business Services is not responsible for failed transactions caused by your bank, card issuer, or network issues.
7. What Is Non-Refundable
The following are strictly non-refundable:
- Government filing fees, statutory levies, and charges already remitted to CAC, FIRS, SCUML, the Trademark Registry, cooperative registration authorities, Stanbic IBTC Pension, or any other agency on your behalf
- Professional and legal fees for work already commenced — including consultation, document review, form preparation, name reservation, legal advice, and filing submission
- Payment processing fees charged by Paystack or any other payment provider
- Any amounts paid to third-party service partners engaged on your behalf
8. When a Refund May Be Considered
A refund request will only be considered where:
- You cancel before any substantive work has begun and before any government or third-party fees have been remitted on your behalf, or
- Marida Business Services is unable to deliver the requested service due to reasons entirely within our control
Where a refund is approved, it will be issued less any administrative or consultation costs already incurred. Refund requests must be made promptly and communicated to us in writing via WhatsApp or email. Refunds are not guaranteed and are issued at Marida's discretion based on the circumstances of each case.
9. No Refund for Client-Caused Delays or Abandonment
No refund is due where your registration cannot proceed or is abandoned because you failed to provide required documents, did not respond to our communication in a timely manner, provided inaccurate information that caused a rejection or re-filing, or otherwise prevented us from completing the service on your behalf.
10. Agency Rejection, Query, or Delay
Marida Business Services does not control CAC, FIRS, SCUML, the Trademark Registry, pension providers, cooperative authorities, banks, courier companies, Paystack, government portals, or any other third-party platform. If an application is delayed, queried, rejected, suspended, or affected by portal downtime after Marida Business Services has carried out the agreed work, our professional fee remains earned and is not automatically refundable.
11. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 7 to 14 business days from the date of approval and returned to the original payment method where possible. Where a refund through the original payment channel is not possible, we will agree an alternative method with you. Marida Business Services is not responsible for any additional delays on the part of your bank or card provider in crediting the refunded amount.
12. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Clients must contact Marida Business Services first to resolve any payment issue before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Where a chargeback or dispute is raised after work has started or a service has been delivered, Marida Business Services reserves the right to provide evidence of work done, communication records, payment confirmation, submission records, and third-party charges incurred to the relevant payment processor and any other necessary party.
13. Additional Terms
This policy should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, which are available on our website. Together, these documents govern your engagement with Marida Business Services.
